Converted in 2021, this (Skoolie) has an amazing outdoor sitting area w/grill & a cozy, spacious interior! Bruiser has a well-adorned kitchen with many amenities, striking views & large skylights that flood the bus with light. The bathroom satisfies every need with a full shower, vanity, & full-length mirror. You’ll sleep better than ever on the memory foam mattress covered in luxury bedding! Outside,you can fish or use our Kayaks & Paddle Boat! Glamping at its best. Experience Unique & ♥︎ it!

Guests have full access to the bus, inside and outside! You may explore the property from the bus to the barn and down to the river.

Other things to note

We’re happy to offer concierge services and prestock the fridge with a list that meets your needs! All must be arranged at least 2 days before your reservation.

There is no wifi available due to the levee and OSCHA requirements. Cell service is great for hotspots, however!

A bucket list check off fer sure. We loved our stay. We walked down to the river, didn't have chairs but it was OK. Came back up, sat outside,had a few cocktails and went inside to relax. definitely a must stay. Lacey was very helpful with anything we needed and is a great host. We hope to stay in the houseboat next time. Thank you for everything. We will be back. The south is where it's at.

stayed in bruiser the bus for a weekend getaway. it was a great experience and I now will be looking into remodeling my own bruiser. if you're headed through the Monroe West Monroe area definitely worth a stay. and the price is Right on the mark.

This was the coolest place to stay! Lacey’s directions are very accurate so the bus was very easy to find. It’s in a great location - tucked away from the busy street, but also there’s so much right in the area for anything you may need. It was the perfect spot to settle for a night on my way to Texas!

All I have to say is BOOK NOW. Lacey’s spot is everything. Check-in was super easy, and I had an absolutely wonderful stay. I loved everything about it from the decor to the outside area by the river to the bed. Speaking of the bed, I felt like I was sleeping on a delta biscuit!!! Lol. The thing I appreciated most about my stay was that Lacey’s husband drove by while I was sitting outside just to check on me. As a single woman and solo traveler, that meant so much to me. I HIGHLY recommend visiting Brusier, and I will definitely be back.

What a perfect place to stay! My only complaint is that Louisiana is too far from Ohio or we’d be back sooner. Bruiser is a magical little space perfect for two, maybe three. We had everything available to prepare meals, but the local food is the best part of Louisiana. All the best places are close enough that your food is still warm when you get home. My daughter can’t wait to tell the kids at school she skipped school to sleep in a school bus. Thanks Lacey for all your help and the amazing snacks. We enjoyed everything and cannot wait to return. We absolutely loved Bruiser! We have stayed at at least a dozen houses during our "bucket list vacation" and this place is our favorite. We had plenty of room and liked laying on the bed and enjoying the view. There is also a gas station/Cafe about a half mile down the road that has delicious home-made meals you can pop right in the toaster oven. We had the jambalaya and it was delicious. This was a fantastic stay!

"Bruiser" is a converted school bus with an amazing view of the Ouachita river. The lights reflecting off the water at night is very relaxing. If you have always thought about camping or glamping and want a really easy way to get a taste of it while still having all the comforts, this might just be the place for you.

1.0 "Worst experience"

Worst airbnb experience I’ve ever had. It could’ve been a wonderful trip but the lack of insulation in the bus made for a freezing and ultimately unbearable stay. We reached out to Lacey all night with no response. Left and bought a space heater and it still didn’t work. Slept in our car only to return in the morning with no response and no running water. We left immediately. Refund was denied and we have still yet to hear a word of explanation or apology from Lacey. The reviews on what could have been a great stay would suggest that this behavior is how business is usually conducted. I hope things improve. Only extremely disappointed at the dismissal of me, my money, and my safety.
