Converted in 2021, this (Skoolie) has an amazing outdoor sitting area w/grill & a cozy, spacious interior! Bruiser has a well-adorned kitchen with many amenities, striking views & large skylights that flood the bus with light. The bathroom satisfies every need with a full shower, vanity, & full-length mirror. You’ll sleep better than ever on the memory foam mattress covered in luxury bedding! Outside,you can fish or use our Kayaks & Paddle Boat! Glamping at its best. Experience Unique & ♥︎ it!

Other things to note

We’re happy to offer concierge services and prestock the fridge with a list that meets your needs! All must be arranged at least 2 days before your reservation.

There is no wifi available due to the levee and OSCHA requirements. Cell service is great for hotspots, however!

My mom and I stayed here for the weekend when looking at a house for sale in a nearby town. The location is great and the view is amazing. The bed was so super comfortable and the linens were great. The best part of staying here is sitting at the kitchen table and the view, just amazing. Bruiser is awesome and we'd definitely stay again!

I admire what has been done to this bus! The lighting and the furniture are so cozy! The bed was very comfortable and slept well. The AC worked as well as it could in the 98 degree weather that day, but it was just fine after the sun went down. It is, however, a bus. The bathroom was a tight fit, I struggled with the shower controls, and the towels were stained. If you're young and just trekking around, this place would be very cool - I'm probably too old to fully appreciate it, though.

Very fun and memorable stay! We were plenty cool in June with the A/C. Lacey was so great with communication and hospitality. The only negative was there was more evidence of its being pet-friendly than we expected, but I still recommend the experience!

this is THE place to stay in West Monroe. book it and know that you'll have a great stay. small, yes, but unique in a great way. you'll be telling everyone you know about staying in a school bus! everything was great. understand it's small. the shower is small, everything is small, but that's the charm. we sat outside for hours looking at the river and enjoying the night. so so so happy. can't wait to come back again.

What a beautiful place. This is all I need for a vacation. Calm, quite and beautiful. The best part is when it rained in the morning. So pleasant and relaxing. Thanks for making our stay comfortable. Love the place and will come back for sure whenever I want to relax. My boyfriend was a little skeptical regarding staying in a bus, but he loves the place and was asking if we can book this place for a weekend next month. A fun experience, clean, simple and beautifully decorated Bruiser. Thanks for taking so much effort in keeping the place as home and comfortable to stay. Finally it was a 5-star experience.

What a FUN stay! Lacey was so great to work with - I was in town to get a tattoo and I messaged her to not worry about linens because I didn’t want to stain her sheets and towels. She messaged me back almost immediately and insisted that she would use her own linens. The kitchen is fully stocked with anything you could ever need. The view is beautiful, and I felt safe the whole time. A great stay - I hope to be back soon!

This place is a perfect stay! You’re close to restaurants, have a view of the river, it’s pet friendly, the bus is really unique and it has everything you need. It was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. It also has really cool overhead lights and 2 AC units so it stayed very cool.

am a travel nurse and stay at Airbnbs often. A SCHOOL BUS CONVERTED TO A TINY HOME.... wait what?!?! I had heard about these kind of things but to have one here in my hometown and in the heart of West Monroe AND on the levy with a river view?!? No way!! I had to check this out for myself. FREAKING AMAZING!! Not only was this transformation unbelievable, the view of the sunset on the water was perfect front the windows. Also, I had everything I needed on the inside. Portable stove, pots, pans, refrigerator, sink, table, chairs, bathroom with shower.. HOT water and water pressure. Ac and heater. Tv and dvds. What a perfect GEM!! Congratulations Lacey on a job well done! (I already booked a return visit). This would be perfect and unique as well as very serene for a getaway weekend or a long term stay. Ps. Lacey was great to communicate with.

You will not be disappointed with your stay at Bruiser the bus! It has everything you need and more for a comfortable stay, and you can tell the host Lacey put a lot of thought and consideration into it. There wasn't anything we felt was missing, not to mention it it super clean, quiet, has a nice water view, and is only a couple of minutes from everything. Lacey is very responsive, friendly, helpful, and gives thorough directions ahead of your arrival. I can't wait to stay here again! Oh, and super dog friendly, too!

Absolutely beautiful place! Even though I was in the city limits, I felt it was my own secret riverfront hideaway. I felt very safe in the middle of a big city. I was able to get to my work location in 15 minutes. She went above and beyond you help me with anything I could have possibly needed. The place was spotless and very stylish. We loved staying in Bruiser the School Bus! Ever since the tiny house trend started, it’s been a dream of mine to live in a tiny home. Staying at Lacey’s place was everything I had hoped for, plus a close proximity to some notable Monroe attractions. We’d happily stay with Lacey again.
